These pretty fonts are from a talented typographer, illustrator and designer called Jessica Hische. She has the most beautiful pieces available to buy here---> Jessica Hische shop.
I also stumbled across a new, new version of one of my favourite games ever: Scrabble by Andrew Capener. I think I may have to get this one! Can you imagine the joy of playing this magnificent game with designer fonts? Hmmm...the Scrabble nerd in me blisses out just thinking about it!

This is Lady Clapham and she is from the V&A in London. An expensive dolly made in 1690 or thereabouts, she is in remarkably good condition considering her age. According to the V&A website, she is a fine example of what a wealthy woman of the time would wear as she has many changes of clothes ranging from informal day wear to evening gowns and formal attire. I think she's rather lovely!

This is Audrey. I think she's what you'd call a good looking woman - she's also a superb cook and a delight to have at any party. She's fun and a stead fast friend who sticks by you through thick and thin. She also looks lovely in black and white - it compliments her shiny cap of jet black bobbed hair and of course the red corsage is perfection!
Here are some bits and pieces I found on Etsy that I thought she might like. What do you think?

These sweet vintage tin tea sets are from Etsy shop Sushipot(parts). Owned by artist Suzanna Scott, it is part antique shop, part art installation/ gallery. I was particularly taken with these 1940s French Alphabet vintage illustrations:
The collector in me also loves the "Instant Collections" she has which are described as "a lovingly curated collection of found objects from my own stash of vintage trinkets and treasures gathered over the years". What a fab idea!

Meet Paige (above) and Timothy (below). Paige is 6 years old and this is her sitting in her favourite chair. Although quite young, Paige is mature for her age and has done away with dollies (for the moment) and is now devoting herself entirely on improving herself. Nanny is showing her how to bake bread and Aunt Jemima is showing her how to crochet socks. She is also a very attentive sister to her younger brother Timothy, Tim to his friends, who is 3 and a half. Paige likes looking after Timothy because it makes her feel grown up and sensible.

This is a picture of Tim on his trusty steed Charger. Nanny has just finished reading Jules Verne's Journey to the Centre of the Earth to him and he thinks perhaps he might take Charger on a similar expedition next Saturday. But he'll have to set off rather early as he wants to be back in time for tea. Nanny said she was baking a batch of his favourite cookies on Saturday and he doesn't want to miss out on them.
