I have watched Gone with the Wind 4,000 times and I devoured the book cover to cover when I was 12 years old. Vivien Leigh is THE quintessential Scarlet O'Hara and femme fatale extraordinaire. Much of what I thought to be true about life and love was all founded on her performance and the epic tale of Gone with the Wind. May her beauty, fire, and mystery live on forever. Thanks for sharing the exquisite photos and tasty tidbits!

People are interesting aren't they. She is lovely. But oh my, the clothes, the hairdos, how wonderful we'd all look in those! Hope you have a wonderful 2014 dear girl.

Wow Pattie! I am very impressed! 4,000 times - amazing! It is a very fine film however and I can totally see how it could be done! To my mind Vivien Leigh is the number one beauty of all time. There are other great beauties of course such as Hedy Lamar and Elizabeth Taylor, but Vivien is with out a shadow of a doubt top of the list in my opinion. Her husband Laurence Olivier actually commented that her beauty had been a problem for her because people found it difficult to take her seriously as an actress - they got distracted by it. Thank you for visiting and commenting Pattie!

Chrisy - yes, it was the way she or her entourage put her together too - such wonderful style and chutzpah! Happy 2014 to you too!
