I hope everyone had/ is having a terrific weekend!
I spent a substantial part of my weekend gardening. It's not the first time I've done that. In fact I do at least 2 - 3 hours of gardening most weekends. I passionately adore it! I love pruning, weeding, sweeping, raking and planting!
I especially love the bit at the end when I lean on my broom and survey the garden and feel a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction seeing the garden so neat and tidy!

Your drawing is so cute!!! The little cat just watching you makes me laugh! I had no idea that you enjoyed gardening! I also enjoy gardening except for the weeding part of it. It's quite a battle of the weeds at my house and the weeds are winning by miles!

Love it!!! I also have a couple of 'helpers' when I garden, and I agree there is nothing more satisfying than looking back on all you've accomplished once you're finished :)

Tracy - yes! I'm a mad keen gardener from way back! I don't actually do much in the way of planting flowers etc but I'm totally into weeding and tidying up! I like being outside and listening to the birds etc!
Kylie - ah! The helpers are the best part! They are so, so helpful in a very gentle quiet way, aren't they? :0)

Oh yes being outside amongst the birds is lovely! I have a kookaburra that always perches close by to me when I'm gardening & when I'm digging & stumble upon worms he tries to snatch them. Cheeky bugger! I'm trying to train him to eat the pesky grasshoppers instead of the worms but he's not having a bar of it. I guess worms are tastier :)

Tracy, are you telling me you have a kookaburra companion? I don't think it gets much better than that! I have them in the garden too from time to time but they don't really interact as much as yours does! I'm deeply jealous! :0)

That's a fabulous illustration - yours I am assuming. Brilliant as always. I am a lover of the pottering about in the garden too and love, like you, surveying the finished results.

This is so cute, Sam! :) I would like to get into gardening more. As it is, I'm a little lazy when it comes to taking care of my outdoor space... That's something I need to work on!

Oh I love getting my hands dirty but lack the yard! My sister is a garden-a-holic and has a beautiful yard & veggie boxes through out her backyard.
Looks like you had a wonderful weekend, hope it continues through your week!
Much Love,
Crystal
