My shadow shot this week is an elegant sign outside The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. I thought it looked very attractive against the various shades of pale beige sandstone. Funnily enough, almost exactly one year ago today, I posted another shot of the Conservatorium of Music in a Shadow Shot post! How's that for coincidence?
Shadow Shot Sunday is a meme conducted by Tracy of Hey Harriet over at her fab blog, Hey Harriet! You too can participate. All you have to do is read the instructions here.
The stone is elegant in its soft tones. It has the aesthetic for a hall for the musical art, but we might mistake its function or location. Thus the bold shadows advise us of the urbane city in which it thrives. The dark 3-D effect effect stands out so well, but does ot overpower the lovely facade. very nice!

I love the pic! The Conservatorium of Music should use that for their publicity photo!

Wow, at first glance it looks like the over of an art magazine! Very sleek and lovely :)

I LOVE this one Sam! I think it may be my fave of all your shadow shots so far! I agree with what Emma Wallace said! :)
Hope you've had a lovely weekend and that your week ahead will continue with all sorts of loveliness too! xo

Aw! Thanks so much everyone for the shadow shot love! :0) Yes, I was surprised at how well it turned out. Just goes to show you never know when you're shooting something whether it will be any good or not until you actually see it out of the camera. And vice-versa of course too!

If Sydney had no shadow,
What would Sydney do?
I'm not sure that I know, dear,
But perhaps you do!
MY SHADOWY FRIEND
My shadow and I are very best friends;
We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.
No matter the time of day or of night,
My shadow and I will always stick tight.
We don’t even think of drifting apart,
For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.
To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.

That's a beautiful shot in my opinion. I love its simplicity and crispness. Well done. I like last year's shot too! Enjoy the day.
