That's so interesting--I was just watching an old Antiques Roadshow which had a collection of Louis Wain's works! I find he captures that mystery in many cat's eyes. Thanks for sharing ;D

I really like Louis Wain's work. It is so strange and slightly disturbing and manages very well to stay away from cute. That first picture is so sixties looking!

he is definitely one of my all time favorite cat artists!! xoxo
i would love to get a print for my wall.

hey sam!! i don't know if you're interested in this, but i thought i'd let you know about "i heart kirribilli" -- it's a week of love for kirribilli from my church, and it's also a contest for artwork. if you (or anyone!) wants to enter, you can find details here: regardless, you ought to come stop by the event and see the artwork on display 22 - 29 october!! :)

Awww I know I'm supposed to be looking at the cat, but look at the skipping mice :)

I love Louis Wain ... and I seem to recall going to the Nick Cave exhibition a few years back and spying a few originals (apparently Nick is a fan too).

I love the pieces you've selected to share ... that kitten writing his name is fantastic! :)

Love his work Sam... and like you the one of the cat writing his name is my favorite. That expression on his face!
