Ruben Toledo. What can I say? That I am in awe of his devil may care (but perhaps not really) sense of line and colour?
Ruben Toledo is one of my favourite contemporary fashion illustrators. He lives with his beautiful designer wife Isabel Toledo, who is also his muse, in a fabulous loft apartment in New York. They were both born in Cuba in 1961.
Ruben Toledo has done everything from illustrate for magazines like Vogue, design scarves, design mannequins, store windows, covers of books, murals, portraits and album covers and even animated films featuring his beautiful quirky drawings which is a must see here ---> moleskin Ruben Toledo's notebook.
I think he makes the world a happier place somehow with his gorgeous drawings!
...and Happy Thursday!

Oh! Ruben Toledo is one of my favorites! How funny, I currently have a few of the ads that he did for Nordstrom, on my inspiration board. Would you like to hear something even funnier? Hanging right next to his Nordstrom ads is, 'The Patron Saint of Humming-birds', which I purchased from your etsy shop! :)
Thanks so much for sharing the wonderful photos in your post!
