Jasper the Tree Swallow setting off on one of his first errands for the day. I plan to draw (surprise!) tomorrow and then in the evening I'm off to listen to Russian Katia Skanavi play the piano. She's apparently the next "It" girl for concert pianists. She will perform pieces by Chopin, Shubert and Carl Vine.
This is what The Gramaphone said of her:
“Skanavi has enough technique to set the final pages of her curtain-raiser ablaze.”
Goodness me! I'll let you know what it was like on Sunday I promise! Happy Friday all!
Jasper is beautiful! Such pretty colors... have fun at the concert. Look forward to seeing the new work and hearing about Katia. That's such a cool name... Katia.

Thank you Gabbi! Katia was pretty amazing actually - very contained and not too "showy" - meaning she didn't go into the theatrical head thrown back type of thing. I was most of all mesmerised by her sparkly dress actually! It was so pretty!
